Steve Strange at a one off club night (New Year's Eve 1979) he organized themed 'What Will You be Wearing in the 80s'. Those of us not really in the know took this as a 'futuristic' theme and showed up in sci fi pvc but everyone in the know (went seriously retro. The club was Witchety's on High St Kensington.
