In 1993 when this pic was taken the point was made to me that such elegantly attired persons as these were Gothics rather than Goths - by Pandora Harrison (on left) who was a font of knowledge for researching the Streetstyle exhibition at the V&A in 1994. The Gothics and the Goths gather each year at Whitby which is the seaside town where Dracula first enters England in Bram Stoker's book.
